I am a firm believer in health testing for diseases/disorders common to the Dobermann.

I feel that by testing and making the results available, it can assist in future breeding decisions and broaden our knowledge of issues within the breed in general.

Jet's Results are:
vWD (von Willebrands Disease - a bleeding disorder)
DNA Test conducted by Genesearch (USA) on 10th July 2000

Result:  Affected (has had no bleeding episodes)

Hip/Elbow Dysplasia (x-rays graded by AVA - 3rd June 2001)

Hip Results:  1:8  = total of 9 (Australian Dobermann average = total of 9)
                        AVA Grade = 3 (Gradings are 0 to 6)
  International Grade = D (Gradings are A to E)
  OFA Equivalent Grade = Good/Fair

Elbow Results:    0:0 (Grades 0 to 3 per elbow)
